Our Approach
Our Story
Kirkwood Children's House is a nurturing school designed for children to make friends and learn to be respectful and productive community members. In this positive, multi-cultural environment, children learn to accept individual differences and develop a sense of interdependence.
OUR APPROACH TO LEARNING
As a community-driven Montessori school, we inspire and challenge students to reach their full potential. Our classrooms contain children ranging from 18 months to 6 years.
The multi-age range in the Montessori classroom encourages younger children to learn from older ones. Meanwhile, older children reinforce skills and knowledge, and grow confident with the satisfaction that comes from helping others.
Each community is guided by certified Montessori teachers who lead students through stimulating materials in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Art, Science, and Cultural subjects. The teachers of Kirkwood Children’s House develop positive, long-lasting relationships with the children through mutual trust and respect. Sensitive to the social and emotional needs of children, our teachers create an environment where your child is always loved and supported.
